Jarrard, Nowell & Russell Adds Principal and Concludes Transition of Firm

Charleston, S.C. – William A. Russell, III, has joined Charleston-based Jarrard, Nowell, & Russell, LLC, as a principal in the certified public accounting and business advisory firm. Russell’s addition completes the transition that occurred this year as William Jarrard, Christopher Nowell, and Russell joined long-standing Charleston accounting firm deBrux & Associates and expanded the firm’s scope of services.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to join the firm and am looking forward to collectively bringing our combination of strategic corporate finance and traditional public accounting experience to the firm,” comments Russell.

The three principals in Jarrard, Nowell, & Russell offer financial expertise gained through over 50 years combined experience in corporate financial management and public accounting. A veteran of over fifteen years in corporate and captive management, Will Russell brings to the firm broad industry expertise, with extensive experience in corporate treasury systems, business valuations, and due diligence work.

Russell began his career as assistant treasurer for Charleston-based Cameron & Barkley Company and has served as director of treasury and risk management for Hagemeyer North American, Inc., and as assistant vice president with Marsh Management Services, Inc. His experience includes the design and implementation of treasury systems, alternative financing structures and cash flow modeling. He also has worked in the captive management industry where he was responsible for managing over 30 clients with assets in excess of $500 million.

A certified public accountant (CPA) Russell earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Clemson University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the South Carolina Association of CPAs.
