Drawing on significant experience in the corporate financial management and public accounting arena, Chris Nowell specializes in providing financial advisory and business evaluation services to companies in ownership transition and subsequent business exchanges. He also has negotiated, valued, and performed due diligence on numerous acquisitions in a variety of industries.
Prior to forming Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, LLC, Nowell worked with both domestic and international companies managing a wide range of activities including mergers and acquisitions, corporate tax compliance and planning, cash flow management, debt covenant negotiation, corporate risk management, employee benefit management and business development. Nowell’s experience with businesses in transition focuses on assistance with financing and the assessment of traditional or alternative financing methods.

Bill Jarrard offers a breadth of public accounting and corporate financial experience, including experience with a Big Four accounting firm and working with Fortune 500 level corporations. As a principal in Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, Jarrard also offers expertise in 1031 tax-free exchanges.
Prior to forming Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, LLC, Jarrard served as chief financial officer for Young Pecan Company, the world’s largest producer of pecans, with annual sales exceeding $100 million. He also has experience as vice president and controller at Cameron & Barkley Company.

William A. Russell III, CPA
Partner
A veteran of over thirty years in corporate financial management and captive insurance company management, Will Russell has extensive experience in corporate treasury systems, business valuation, and due diligence work.
As a shareholder of Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, Will is responsible for management of the firm, preparing income tax returns, and performing audits, reviews, and compilations for a diverse group of clients.
Russell has been featured as a speaker nationwide at events sponsored by the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association (SCCIA), and in the United Kingdom at events sponsored by EuroFinance. He served on the Large Corporate Client Advisory Board for Wachovia Bank, N.A., was chairman of the Greater Summerville / Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce and was the Charleston Regional Development Alliance (CRDA) treasurer. Will was also the president of the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association (SCCIA).
